Lakin Earns Sleep Medicine
Board Certification
(Wichita, KS)—The Sleep Medicine Center of Kansas is pleased to announce that Robert C. Lakin, MD recently received board certification in Sleep Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine. This is the first time this specialty has been offered for certification by the American Board of Internal Medicine. The Sleep Medicine Center of Kansas is accredited by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine.
Dr. Lakin joined Wichita Clinic in 2003 and specializes exclusively in sleep medicine. He currently sees patients at three locations including Sleep Medicine Center East (818 N. Carriage Pkwy, Wichita, KS 67208, 316-651-2250), Sleep Medicine Center West (750 N. Socora, Suite 100, Wichita, KS 67212, 316-946-1790), and the Bethel Medical Office Building (720 Medical Center Dr., Newton, KS 67114, 316-651-2250).
The Sleep Medicine Center of Kansas, in association with Wichita Clinic, provides diagnosis and treatment for all sleep disorders. Problems commonly treated include sleep apnea, restless legs syndrome and narcolepsy.

Wichita Clinic Diabetes Education Classes are offered in a two day format, Mondays and Thursdays each week from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.
Wichita Clinic offers Shapedown classes! Classes meet once a week on Thursdays at Wichita Clinic Northeast from 6-8pm. Shapedown classes are for families with overweight children, where parental involvement is part of the class.
