Osteoporosis TestingWichita Clinic's Osteoporosis Testing Center is a part of the Rheumatology Department. Our physicians are specialists in musculoskeletal diseases. They help determine the causes of osteoporosis and other types of bone diseases. They also assist other physicians by providing and monitoring treatment programs tailored to each patient that visits our center. Our rheumatologists are active in educating the public and health care specialists about this serious health problem. The testing center is consistently chosen to participate in the search for better therapies for osteoporosis together with other leading treatment investigators. Several research projects are underway. Our facility is a full-time testing center with the ability to do peripheral (heel and forearm) as well as central bone densitometry and instant vertebral assessment / morphology. With the experience of conducting over 25,000 exams our physicians and technologist provide the highest quality of patient care with the latest knowledge and technology that research has to offer. We are credentialed by The International Society for Clinical Densitometry. Our physicians are Certified Densitometrists and our technologist is a Certified Densitometry Technologist and a Registered Radiographic Technologist.
