Frequently Asked Questions

How do I register a compliment or file a complaint?

Quality Assurance is the department at Wichita Clinic that handles all compliments, complaints and concerns.  Access the Contact Us page on this website and choose the Compliment/Complaint/Concern about Patient Experience option.  You may also contact our Quality Assurance department by calling (316) 689-9111 and asking to speak to someone in QA.  Be sure to leave your contact information if you would like us to follow up with you. You may also call this line anonymously to report a compliment, complaint or concern. You may also send written communication by mail to: Quality Assurance, Wichita Clinic, 3311 E. Murdock, Wichita, KS 67208.

How do I get my medical records released or sent to a new physician?

You can have your records released by completing a Records Release form and mailing it to: Wichita Clinic Records Release: 3311 E. Murdock, Wichita, KS 67208 or faxing it to (316) 689-9635.  If you have questions about the release of your medical records you can call (316) 689-9577 or e-mail Records Release via the form on the Contact Us page of this website.

Can I pay my bill online?

Online bill pay is not currently offered on Wichita Clinic’s website. Wichita Clinic does offer payment by phone.  To pay your bill by phone, please call (316) 689-9135 and select option 1.  Wichita Clinic understands that online bill payment is a convenient feature for patients and we hope to have it implemented in the near future.  We also want to know what other features you think would be important or useful as we continue to improve our website.  Please visit the Share Your Thoughts page on this website to fill out our Website Experience Study.

When should I use Immediate Care?

The purpose of Immediate Care is to treat minor emergencies.  If you are suffering major pain or showing signs of a heart attack or other major health concerns you should visit an emergency room immediately.  A more comprehensive list of symptoms that can be treated at our Immediate Care locations can be found on our Immediate Care vs. the Emergency Room page.

How can I tell if a Wichita Clinic doctor accepts my insurance?

You will need to work with your insurance company to find an up-to-date listing of physicians that currently accept your insurance plan.  You may inquire about insurance plans when making an appointment with your physician but your insurance company is the best source for current information.

Who do I contact if I have questions regarding my bill or account?

If you have a question regarding billing or your account, you need to contact our Business Office by phone at (316) 689-9135 or by the Business Office form on our Contact Us page.  This will submit information directly to them, protecting your privacy.  More information about our Business Office, billing and accounts can be found in the Business Office section of this website.

What is the best way to contact my physician or my physician’s nurse?

Currently, the best way to get in touch with your physician or their nurse is to call their department directly.  We do not currently support secure e-mail correspondence, and we do not release employee or physician e-mail addresses.

Do I have to have a referral to see a specialist or have a test done at Wichita Clinic?

Requirements for referrals vary.  It is best to contact your insurance company directly and find out what the requirements are for your individual plan.

Where can I have my lab work done?

Wichita Clinic offers laboratory services at eight branches: Andover, Bethel-Newton, Carriage Park, Derby, Eberly Farm, Founders’ Circle, Murdock, and Northeast. Labs are open during regular business hours, 8 am to 5 pm (Murdock lab 7:30 am- 6 pm). Eberly Farm and Murdock also offer extended lab hours so that they can provide service during Immediate Care hours. Wichita Clinic patients can visit any lab during operating hours, and no appointment is required for most testing. Most lab specimens can be collected at any location, but only general lab tests (strep, pregnancy, etc.) are done at the branches. Specimens from the branch labs are sent to the main lab at Murdock for analysis. Your physician may request that you visit the main lab at Murdock to have more specialized testing completed in the most timely manner. Click here for a map of lab locations.

What type of questions can I submit to the Contact Us feature?

The Contact Us feature is in place to answer general questions about Wichita Clinic.  In order to protect your privacy we have tried to offer some common topics so that your e-mail goes directly to the department that can provide you with assistance.  Please note that the Contact Us feature is NOT answered by medical staff, and therefore, medical inquiries should be answered to your physician or physician’s nurse.  Contact Us submissions are checked daily during regular business hours, Monday-Friday, 8 am to 5 pm.
