About UsWith over 160 doctors, Wichita Clinic P.A. is the state’s largest outpatient multi-specialty group practice and is accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care. Owned and governed by its doctors, Wichita Clinic presently has twelve branches in Kansas and the Wichita metropolitan area. Operating in three counties (Sedgwick, Harvey, and Butler), more than half a million patient visits were made to Wichita Clinic in 2009. Wichita Clinic patients enjoy and utilize a wide range of services, encompassing full-service Sleep Clinics and Labs as well as the specialized Center for Diabetes and Endocrinology, a Center for Advanced Eye Surgery and Advanced Aesthetics. A 32,000 square foot Founders’ Circle ambulatory surgery center with 7 state-of-the art operating rooms and 2 endoscopy suites was completed in September 2005. Other resources include a full-service lab and an on-site pharmacy. Immediate care facilities offer day, evening and weekend coverage for patients who need medical attention but not an emergency room. Ancillary services for patients include a full-service radiology department with 64-slice CT, 1.5 Tesla open bore MRI, nuclear medicine, picture archiving and communication system (PACS), digital mammography and sonography. These services feature diagnostic capabilities equivalent to those found in many large hospitals. Wichita has over 24,000 healthcare professionals and 900 practitioners providing services in the city and surrounding areas, making the healthcare industry the area’s second largest employment sector. As a result, the Wichita area is a regional medical hub offering expertise in all areas of medicine to a patient catchment area of about 1 million people. Two major medical centers, a veterans’ hospital and numerous specialty hospitals and clinics offer more than 2,272 hospital beds and employ more than 24,000 health care professionals. The two major medical centers include Wesley Medical Center and Via Christi Regional Medical Center (comprised of St. Francis and St. Joseph campuses), both of which are Level I Trauma Centers and have over 1700 hospital beds between them. Our team of professionals work together to successfully coordinate their medical, administrative and marketing talents. Frequent opportunities for consultations with other specialists are at the heart of our group practice. The past and future success of our organization hinges on our emphasis on patient satisfaction, quality of care, and collegial interaction. Thus, our tag line: Working together for your good health.
